Hirsutism: Caused by an endocrine disorder, or it can be the side effect of certain
medications. Females will have hair growing in male facial patterns, such as a beard
or heavy upper lip growth.

Hypertrichosis: This is the growth of hair on any part of the body in excess of the
amount usually present in persons of the same age, sex and race. This can be either
genetic or it can be side effect of certain medications.

Excess hair growth is also possible as the result of hormonal imbalances, because of
your unique genetic makeup, or as a medicinal side effect. Confer with your doctor for
help in these circumstances.
