Apply witch hazel straight from
the bottle to the affected area. Witch hazel contains tannins and
astringents which help reduce the veins by temporarily
constricting blood vessels and making them less visible.
Vitamin treatments: 1) Vitamin K found in leafy
green vegetables and known for its blood-clotting abilities, has
proven to be highly effective in treating spider veins. Start by
taking it internally, and if you can find a gel cap (try health
food stores), break it open and apply directly to the vein. Tablets can be dissolved in 1/4 teaspoon boiling water and either applied directly or added to any moisturizer. Be sure to massage it
thoroughly into the area. 2) Horsetail extract is a tissue
healer known for its renewal, tightening & toning properties.
It is readily available at health food stores.
