Rosacea results when too much
blood is rushed through tiny blood vessels, causing the vessels
to remain permanently dilated. The redness shows because the vessels are
directly beneath the outer layer of skin. You’ll need laser
treatment to eliminate the dilated vessels. To minimize the
redness, avoid: Hot drinks, spicy foods, red wine, sun exposure, extreme changes in temperatures, rubbing your face. From your doctor,
you can get a prescription for a topical cream that contain
steroids, or take an oral antibiotic like tetracycline.
Cosmetically, try B. Kamins Revitalizing Booster Concentrate. Herbally,
mix one tablespoon dried basil leaves with 1/4 cup vegetable oil
and apply for 20 mins
