Psoriasis

This is a genetic condition characterized by red, raised patches with white, scaly
lesions caused by excessive shedding. Psoriasis is usually found on knees,
elbows, hands, and scalp. A coal tar ointment like Tegrin Lotion for Psoriasis or
Doak Oil Forte Therapeutic Bath Treatment will help. You can get a stronger
ointment by prescription. Denorex and Tegrin make several shampoos with coal
tar. You can also try dabbing vegetable shortening like Crisco on the outbreak.
Crisco is a wonderful folk remedy for all dry skin problems.
