Question: Iím gaining weight and I donít know why

hi,
  i visited yr site. i visit many sites but i think yur site is one of the best i have ever seen.  

my problem is that I am becoming fat day by day. i am worried about my weight. i walk daily n i do excersise daily but in
vain. please tell me some medicine.

my age is 25 n I am unmarried. i was slim, but for the last year i have gained too much weight. i am fed up of my life.
please solve my problem n tell me some useful n affordable medicine.

I'm so glad you like my website. I designed it so I could help girls and women who might not have a big sister to talk to, or
who might be too shy to ask their mother about some things.

It is common for someone in their 20s to experience a change in their metabolism (which means how your body
processes food) and a minor weight gain is common. Much of your new weight is probably necessary to be able to get
pregnant in the future. Women need some fat on them to be able to become pregnant, to carry a baby for 9 months, and to
breast feed them for a few months after birth. That's nature. There is no medicine that I know of that will change that fact of
biology.

I suggest you continue with your sensible eating habits and exercise. In time, your body will adjust to the new metabolism
rate and your weight will settle down. One minor adjustment that could help is to have your dinner early in the evening --
before 7 PM -- to allow complete digestion before you go to sleep.

Of course, you can check with your doctor to be sure that your weight gain is normal maturation and not caused by a
medical problem. You do not tell me how much weight you have gained so I cannot judge if this is within the usual range
for a woman in her 20s. Also, I'm not qualified to discuss the medical possibilities nor do I know of any diseases that could
manifest as unnatural weight gain.
